“ KinoSoyuz ” (full name: The Union of Cinematographers and Professional Cinematographic Organizations and Associations of Russia [1] ) is a public organization of Russian filmmakers . Created in 2010 .

History
In the spring of 2010, a group of Russian filmmakers, dissatisfied with the activities of the leadership of the Union of Russian Filmmakers and personally Nikita Mikhalkov , announced their withdrawal from this association. In connection with this decision, the idea came up to create a new Kinosoyuz. The appeal “We do not like” was written, which collected more than 150 signatures. Its founders were: Eldar Ryazanov , Aleksey German , Yuri Norshtein , Alexander Sokurov , Alexander Gelman , Daniil Dondurey , Vladimir Dostal , Vitaly Mansky , Boris Khlebnikov , Andrey Proshkin , Alexei German Jr. [3] . Prior to the first congress, Boris Khlebnikov became the chairman of the KinoSoyuz.
On September 9, 2010, the Ministry of Justice issued a certificate of state registration of the Regional Public Organization “Union of Cinematographers and Professional Cinematographic Organizations and Associations” [3] .
The first congress of KinoSoyuz was held in Moscow on July 1 and 2, 2011 . According to the payroll, the “KinoSoyuz” consisted of 168 members [4] . A rating of 11 people was elected by a rating vote. Andrei Proshkin and Vitaliy Mansky were nominated for the elected head of the leadership, Andrei Proshkin was elected in the vote (67% of the vote) [5] .
In December 2011, for the first time, the KinoSoyuz Prize, Ele, was awarded. The first winner was the film by Alexei Popogrebsky " How I spent this summer " [3] .
In March 2014, 169 members of KinoSoyuz signed a letter to their colleagues from Ukraine:
We, like you, are categorically against lying in covering the events that are crucial for Ukraine, and all the more against Russian military intervention in Ukraine. Too much connects us to believe in concocted propaganda [6] .
