Biography
Career
Kelly MacDonald began her career as an actress in 1996 , after casting for the role of Diana in the film “On the Needle,” for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award. This was followed by no less noticeable work in the films of such directors as Robert Altman , Marc Forster , Raymond De Felitta, Shekhar Kapoor and the Cohen brothers .
In 2005, the actress took part in the television movie production of the BBC "Cafe Girl", where her partner was Bill Nyei . For the role of Gina Kelly was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and received an Emmy Award as Best Actress [1] .
Since 2010, she has been involved in the main cast of the television series Underground Empire , for her role in which she was nominated for the Golden Globe (2011) and Golden Globe (2012) awards as the best supporting TV actress [1] .
In December 2010, in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Kelly MacDonald confirmed that she would appear in the final part of the Harry Potter saga as the ghost of the Gray Lady [2] .
Personal life
Since August 27, 2003, Kelly has been married to musician Dougie Payne (born 1972). The spouses have two sons - Freddie Peter Payne (born March 9, 2008) [3] and Theodore William Payne (born December 8, 2012). The couple broke up in 2017 [4] .
