Mikhailovka ( Kaz. Mikhailov ) is a village in the Karabalyk district of the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of the Mikhailovsky rural district. It is located about 31 km south-west of the district center, the village of Karabalyk . The KATO code is 395047100 [1] .

Content
Geography
Located on the Trans-Ural Plateau on the right bank of the Toguzak River. The village is located in the border zone with Russia .
History
The village of Mikhailovskaya was founded in 1833 during the formation of the New Line . In military-administrative terms, the Mikhailovsky village yurt of the 3rd military department of the Orenburg Cossack army included the villages of Mikhailovsky, Leipzig, Nadezhinsky, Tarutinsky , Alekseevsky and 10 more farms.
In 1852 - 1855 a stone Orthodox church was built [2] .
Until 1862, the village was part of the Trinity district of the Orenburg province .
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 1181 people (567 men and 614 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 846 people lived in the village (402 men and 444 women) [3] .
