Belgrano II ( Eng. General Belgrano II Base ) is an Argentinean research polar station located in Antarctica, on the shores of the Weddell Sea . This station is Argentina's southernmost permanent station.

History
In 1955 , General Hernan Puhato founded the first Belgrano station. On February 5, 1979 , the Belgrano II station was opened as a follower of the first base. Belgrano III functioned for 4 years, in 1980 - 1984 . Now only Belgrano II is functioning, which since 2006 has been the southernmost permanent Argentine station.
