Itskov, Yuri Leonidovich

Yuri Itskov was born on May 29, 1950 in Moscow , in the family of a theater director and stage designer, People's Artist of the Tajik SSR and Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR Leonid Nikolayevich Itskov (1908-1979) and actress Alexandra Itskova.

In 1970 he graduated from the Far Eastern State Institute of Arts in Vladivostok .

From 1971 to 1979 he worked as an actor in the Irkutsk Drama Theater named after N.P. Okhlopkov .

In 1979, at the invitation of director Arthur Haikin, he moved to Omsk and until 2001 worked at the Omsk Academic Drama Theater .

Filmed in domestic television series .

April 2, 2001 was enrolled in the troupe of the Theater of Satire on Vasilyevsky in St. Petersburg ^[2] .

• 1994 - Laureate of the prize named after People's Artist of the USSR A. I. Shchegolev of the first Omsk viewing competition for the best acting work - for the role of Signor Paolino in the play of the Omsk Academic Drama Theater "Man, Animal, Virtue" based on the play by Luigi Pirandello ^[4] .
• 1999 - Prize "For Best Actor" of the XIX International Theater Festival "The Baltic House " - for the role of censor Sakisaki in the play "Academy of Laughter" at the Omsk Academic Drama Theater ^[5] .
• 2005 - prize "For the best adult work in children's cinema" of the XII Minsk International Film Festival " Listapad " ^[6] .

• A fun feature: in most television series, Itskov appears with actor Yuri Tarasov . Tarasov himself in an interview with the newspaper "Evening Chelyabinsk" ^[7] commented on this as follows:

“When I came to the shooting and ran nose to nose with Yuri Itskov, I laughed for a very long time. Spectators will soon think that we are Siamese twins. We play together with him in almost all the series shown on TV over the past year. Recently, I was invited to the shooting of "Catherine's Musketeers." When I met Itskov there, I was even a little uneasy. ”

• According to the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, the episode in the film “ The One Who Turns Out the Light ” (the working title of the film is “Sovereign”; 2008), in which service dogs attack Itskova, was the most dangerous trick from the films shot. According to the scenario, animals during detention bite the throat of the hero of Itskov. So that the dogs did not really cripple the actor, they were trained for two weeks ^[8] .
