Biography
Elina Danielyan was taught to play chess by her father when she was 5 years old. From the age of seven she began to study in the chess section under the leadership of Rafael Sarkisov .
In 1988, due to the outbreak of the Karabakh conflict, the family of Elina Danielyan was forced to move from Baku to Yerevan , where she continued to train at the Tigran Petrosyan chess school under the guidance of sports master Hovik Khalikyan . At the age of 15, she first became the champion of Armenia among women.
Since 1992, it has been a member of the Armenian women's chess team.
From the age of 16, he leads the Armenian team at team tournaments. She received the title of grandmaster among women at the age of 16, becoming the first female grandmaster in the Armenian nation.
In 2003 , playing on the first board, she led the Armenian team to victory in the European team championship and won a gold medal on the first board, and in 2007 received the bronze medal of this tournament as part of the Armenian team.
According to a survey in 2003, she became the best athlete of the year. By the decree of the President of Armenia R. S. Kocharyan was awarded the Movses Khorenatsi medal for the development of chess in Armenia.
In 2006, as part of the Yerevan club , Mika became the winner of the European Club Championship , and also became the bronze and silver medalist of the European Club Championship.
Awarded the title of international grandmaster among men in 2010.
She took part in the women's series of the Grand Prix, showing good results, 3rd place (2009), 1-2th place (2011), 3rd place (2014).
In 2011, by the decree of the President of Armenia S. A. Sargsyan, she was awarded the 1st Class Medal "For Merit to the Fatherland".
Included in the list of famous Armenian women of the 20th century.
In December 2017, Elina Danielyan took third place at the 2017 World Rapid Chess Champion in Saudi Arabia .
