The ferry connects Chirchu and Hatterwig with Vannasunn, located on the island of Vijoy . The island can be reached by helicopter either from the national airport in Torshavn on the island of Voar , or from the regional center of Klaxwijk . The village is located on the southern tip of the island and stretches across the western part of the island, including the small enclave that is currently uninhabited, Skardswijk .
