The parish was formed in 1992, services were held in the former kindergarten. September 30, 1994 Bishop Tikhon (Emelyanov) consecrated the foundation stone of the church. The construction was carried out according to the project of architect P.A. Chernobrovtsev. The church was built on the model of Russian churches of the XVI-XVII centuries: four-pillared, five-domed, has three naves . July 25, 2000 the church was consecrated by Bishop Sergius (Sokolov) .
The church has a youth missionary society in the name of the righteous John of Russia , a Sunday school for adults and children, a library, a parish leaflet is published monthly. Since 1993, the parish has been operating an Orthodox gymnasium in the name of Saints Equal to the Apostles Cyril and Methodius and a kindergarten.
