Chairman of the Chess Composition Commission of the Latvian SSR ( 1950 - 1954 ). Since 1926, published about 200 problems (mainly two-run ), 50 of them were awarded distinctions in competitions (including 15 - prizes). Finalist of the 1st ( 1947 ) and 3rd ( 1952 ) USSR Championships. Latvian Championship Results: 1934 - 2nd; 1938 - 1st place. In the championships of the Latvian SSR: 1950 - 2nd place in three-way ; 1951 - 1st place in two-way and three-way.
