German von Gottschall ( German: Hermann von Gottschall ; October 16, 1862 , Posen - March 7, 1933 , Görlitz ) - German chess player , chess composer and writer. Editor of the magazine " Deutsche Schachzeitung " ( 1887 - 1897 ). In 1885 - 1908 participated in a number of international tournaments; best result: Dresden (tournament of the German Chess Union, 1892 ) - 8–9th place.
