Since 1817 Professor of the University of Liege. Novolatinsky poet, Fuss is known as an ardent fan of the Latin language , which, in his opinion, is able to express all the latest ideas, while maintaining classical purity. Füss translated into Latin the works of contemporary great poets [1] .

- Réflexions sur l'usage du latin moderne en poésie (ibid., 1829);
- Poemata latina (1845–46);
- Franç aise de Rimini (Latin translation of a passage from Dante, Tournai, 1869).
