Vasily Timofeevich Sidorov (1924-1944) - Hero of the Soviet Union , commander of a small platoon. He was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for the destruction in a hand- to -hand battle by forces of his platoon of a company of German troops , of which he personally killed 12 people. He died in battle.
