Club career
October 22, 2015 signed a contract with the Scottish Celtic , calculated until the end of the 2016/17 season [1] .
Team Career
Carlton's parents are from Nigeria and Sierra Leone , so he could play for the national teams of these countries, but he refused this opportunity [2] [3] . Cole regularly played for the youth team of England until the age of 21, scoring 6 goals in 19 matches [4] , including a “double” against the youth team of Ukraine in August 2004 (England won 3-1) [5] . Peter Taylor, who was then the head coach of the England youth team, said that Cole has " ... the potential to break into the main England team ... " [6] .
On February 11, 2009, Cole was first challenged to the first England team in a friendly match against Spain . He entered the field in the 75th minute of the match, substituting Gabriel Agbonlahor . England lost this match with a score 2: 0 [7] . In spring 2009, Cole was again called up to the national team to participate in matches against Slovakia and Ukraine, and then to matches against Kazakhstan and Andorra.
