Career

Born in the town of Uzice in western Serbia. He started playing football seriously at the age of 15. The first coach is Estraty Jovanovic. Before that, he had been involved in athletics for seven years, was the champion of Serbia in middle-distance running - 1 km, 1.5 km, 2 km [2] .

At the beginning of his career he spent three seasons for the Zeta team from the town of Golubovtsi near Podgorica (now Montenegro), which was the middle middle division of Serbia and Montenegro in those years.

A promising young player was invited to the national team for players under 21 years old. In June 2004, the Yugoslavs with Petrovich in the composition took second place at the European Championships in this age category. In August 2004, Petrovich took part in the Athens Olympics football tournament , in which the Yugoslavs made a failure, losing all three matches of the group tournament.

In the summer of 2004, one of the country's strongest clubs - Partizan, Belgrade, signed a contract with Petrovich. For “ black and white ” Branimir spent one season, which became his team victorious in the national championship.

In 2005, Petrovich played in China for Shandong Luneng , taking his second place in the Chinese championship . Returning from China, spent three months with the Zeta, then went to play in Russia. I signed a contract with the KAMAZ club (Naberezhnye Chelny) from the First Division . He made his debut on August 4, 2006 in a away match against Siberia (score 1: 1). KAMAZ in that season , as well as in the next , took 4th place. The ending (August – November) of the 2007 season was held by Branimir in Rubin , who played mediocre then in the Premier League, then returned to the car factory . In the 2008 season, KAMAZ, as in the previous two, fought for access to the Premier League, but could not complete this task, taking third place. Petrovich gradually entrenched in the main team, becoming one of its key midfielders.

In March 2009, Petrovich moved to Rostov [3] , who joined the Premier League thanks to his victory in the First Division in 2008. In 2010, he was a player in the Wings of the Soviets football club. March 22, 2011 it became known that Petrovich signed a contract with the Yekaterinburg club " Ural " [4] .

Citizenship

Petrovich has Serbian citizenship. In 2011, he applied for Russian citizenship [5] .

Personal life

Branimir’s father is a pensioner, his mother is a doctor, and his older brother works at the post office [2] . Branimir loves Hollywood films and Serbian comedies, his favorite movie actors are Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman [2] .
