Biography
Born and raised in East Germany , she graduated from the Eisler Berlin Higher School of Music . In 1991 , she became the first winner of the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Hanover .
Together with her permanent accompanist Silke Avenhaus, she recorded the violin sonatas of Mendelssohn , Schubert , Brahms , Saint-Saens , Foret , Ravel . In the recording of one of Brahms' piano quartets, together with Vaithaas, Boris Pergamenschikov , Kim Kashkashyan and Lars Vogt participated. He also performs in a duet with violinist Christian Tetslaff and as part of a string quartet with Jean Gian Keira , Daniel Sepek and Tabeya Zimmerman .
