Package Composition
Individual dressing pack PPI-1 consists of a gauze bandage (10 cm × 7 m) and two cotton-gauze pads (17.5 × 32 cm), one of which is fixed at a distance of 12-17 cm from the end of the bandage, and the other can be moved on the bandage to the desired distance. The bandage with cotton-gauze pads is wrapped in parchment paper , in the fold of which a safety pin is embedded, and packed in a hermetic outer shell made of rubberized fabric, which stably maintains the sterility of the contents. A brief instruction and production date are printed on the package shell.
Method of use
Tear the rubberized envelope of the bag along the notch of the edge, remove the paper roll, remove the pin and unfold the paper. Then, with one hand, take the end of the bandage, with the other - its roll and spread your arms so that the pads unfold and straighten. You can touch the pads with your hands only from the side marked with colored thread. The reverse side must remain sterile. When applying a bandage, the pads with the sterile side are applied to the wound or burn in two layers (one on top of the other) or side by side (in one layer) if the wound (burn area) is large. With a through wound, one hole is closed with a fixed cushion, the other is movable, moving along a bandage. The pads are bandaged and the end of the bandage is secured with a pin.
If necessary, a package of rubberized tissue can be used to seal wound canals (for example, with penetrating wound of the chest cavity). In this case, it is applied to the wound with the sterile (inner) side.
Dressing bags with a damaged outer sheath are not suitable for applying an aseptic dressing.
