Vyacheslav Alekseevich Vlasov (born March 26, 1952, the city of Kuznetsk, Penza Region ) - Russian scientist, candidate of historical sciences (1978), associate professor (1984), teacher, student of public education of the Russian Federation (1994), academician of the International Academy of Informatization , first Vice Rector of Penza State Pedagogical University named after V. G. Belinsky (from 2001 to 2010), editor-in-chief of the Penza Encyclopedia .
He graduated from high school number 2 of Penza (1969), the historical department of the historical and philological faculty of Penza State Pedagogical Institute. V. G. Belinsky (1973) and graduate school of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute (1978).
He has been working at PSPI since 1973. He was an assistant (1973-1975), a senior teacher (1978-1980), and an assistant professor (1980). Since 1988, the head of the Department of History of the CPSU, since 1990 - political history, since 1992 - the domestic history of PSPU. In 2000 he was appointed vice-rector for academic affairs. In 2001, Vlasov was elected professor.
The main theme of scientific research is “School, State and Society in Russia in the 19th-20th Centuries”.
He was a member of the editorial board and editorial board, head of the sociology department of the Penza Encyclopedia. V. A. Vlasov published more than 200 scientific and educational works on the history of Russia of the 19th — 20th centuries, public education and regional studies, and was the editor of textbooks and collections of scientific articles prepared at the department under his leadership. The scientist is a member of the editorial board and editorial board of the collection “Proceedings of the PSPU. Humanitarian sciences". During the years of the publication of the journal "Local Lore" was a member of the editorial board. From 1998 to 2007 Vlasov was a member of the dissertation council on historical sciences of PSPU. Under his leadership, 6 graduate students successfully defended their thesis.
The scientist is the permanent organizer of international and all-Russian scientific conferences: “1917 in the fate of Russia”, “War. People. Victory ”,“ XX century: results and prospects ”,“ Cases and people ”,“ Culture and power ”,“ School, state and society ”. He was the people's assessor of the Leninsky district court, the chairman of the Leninsky district organization of the Knowledge Society, a member of the presidium of the regional government, and was twice elected to the All-Russian congresses of this society. Chairman of the Penza regional branch of the Russian society of historians-archivists, member of the public council of the Volga House of Knowledge. Chairman of the Academic Council of the departments of the socio-economic and humanitarian cycle (1997-2000), member of the Academic Councils of the University (since 1989) and the Faculty of History (since 2004).
