A peasant horse is a collective designation of horses used in Russia and belonging to the Nori type . In the XIX century made up 75% of the horse population of Russia. In most cases, they do not have articles to which attention could be paid. Growth, color and general appearance are extremely diverse; the only merit of many of them can be considered only unpretentiousness and the ability to endure all sorts of adversities. Such unsatisfactory them is only a consequence of poor feeding, and sometimes leaving by the owner-peasant. But the rich peasants, as well as where there were favorable conditions for feed and pasture, had large and satisfactory horses on the exterior, and where it was possible to use factory stallions, they were heavy trucks . An example in the past was the Tambov and Voronezh provinces, localities, especially until the 60s, rich in feed (steppes and river meadows), where a large workhorse and bityugs were bred .
