Pallas Hyacinthus [2] , or Pallas Hyacintella [3] ( Latin Hyacinthélla pallasiána ) is a herbaceous plant of the Hyacinth family ( Hyacinthaceae ), an endemic of the Donets Ridge and the Azov Upland .

Previously, the plant was attributed to the genus Hyacinth and it had the name Hyacinthus pallasianus Steven - Hyacinth Pallas.
The plant is common in Zaporizhia , Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine and Rostov region of Russia .
The species is named in honor of Peter Simon Pallas (1741–1811), a German and Russian encyclopaedist scientist, famous for his scientific expeditions across Russia.

Biological description
Unpretentious frost-resistant plant up to 16 cm high.
Conical bulb, 1 cm in diameter.
1-2 leaves , linear, grooved, bare, with pointed hood-like ends, 10-15 cm long, 6-8 mm wide.
The flowers are blue, narrow-funnel-shaped, up to 1 cm long, gathered in a loose brush. Perianth segments bent, 3 times shorter than the tube.
Propagated by seeds and bulbs.
Ecology
Dwells Hyacinthus Pallas on steppe slopes with outcrops of crystalline rocks . Recommended for stony hills.
In connection with the plowing up of virgin steppes, uncontrolled cattle grazing, as well as the collection of plants for bouquets, the number of species is noticeably reduced. The development of the artisanal mining industry also has a negative impact on the species population .
