SWIV is a vertical scrolling shooter video game developed by Random Access in 1991 for a number of home computers . In 1994, versions of the game for Sega Mega Drive and Super Nintendo game consoles under the names Mega SWIV and Super SWIV respectively, as well as under the name Firepower 2000 in the USA, were also released.

The game is a development of the ideas of the game " Silkworm ", released by the company " Tecmo " in 1988 for arcade game machines . In SWIV, players can also choose a jeep or helicopter , which affects the gameplay , but instead of a side view and horizontal scrolling, a top view and vertical scrolling are used.
In 1996, the sequel to the game, SWIV 3D , was released. It came out on an IBM PC , and used three-dimensional graphics .
Reviews
The version of the game for Amiga received high marks in the press, from 81 to 94% [1] . The ZX Spectrum version fell into 46 and 60 positions on the list of the 100 best games for this computer, published by CRASH magazine .
