Title
There are at least three versions of the origin of hydronym. In the dictionary of A. V. Kirillov, it is indicated that the river received the name by the name of the lower military rank drowned in it - Raev. According to the second version, the hydronym went from the Decembrist Raikov, who lived nearby. The third version involves the merger of the words "paradise" and the older name "Chikhinka" thanks to the Cossack settlers. [four]
