Macedonia ( Greek: Μακεδονία ) is a daily newspaper published in Thessaloniki . One of the oldest newspapers in Greece - the first issue was published in 1911 by the journalist and businessman Ioannis Velidis. The current owner is the company "Macedonics Ekdotiki Ektipotiki AE" (Greek Μακεδονική Εκδοτική Εκτυπωτική Α.Ε). The current editor of the newspaper is Dimitrios Gouzidis, the seventh in the last 12 years. Previous editors are Lazaros Hatzinakos, Ioannis Kotofolos, Traianos Hadzidimitriu, Lucas Katsonis, Pantelis Savvidis and Kostas Zuraris .
