Tsimarron

Tsimarron ( cimarron ) - the feral horse of the pampas of South America, inhabiting them in huge numbers. The cimarrons are believed to have come from several stallions and mares of the Andalusian breed, abandoned in 1537 , when the Buenos Aires colony was abandoned by the inhabitants; already by 1580 the horses had multiplied here so much that they spread south to the Strait of Magellan , north to Paraguay .
