Chicago Wolves is a professional hockey club playing in the American Hockey League . Based in Chicago , Illinois , USA . It is the farm club of the NHL team - Vegas Golden Knights . In the period from 1994 to 2001, the team played in the International Hockey League (IHL). The team's mascot is a gray wolf named Skates, wearing a sweater with number 94 (the year the team was formed).

History
Throughout its history, the team has won the Turner Cup (IHL) twice, in 1998 and 2000, and twice won the Calder Cup , in 2002 and 2008. She participated in 6 championship finals (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2008). The greatest star of the club was Steve Malteys, who completed his player's career at the end of the 2004-05 season, and has almost all the club's records. The most famous players in the team also include: goalkeeper Wendell Young, Rob Brown, Troy Murray, Chris Chelios and Bob Nardell. In the 2007β08 season, Wolves made the most successful start in their fourteen-year history, winning 13 matches out of 14, losing one game in overtime. The Wolves finished this season with 111 points, finishing first in the Western Conference.
From 2001 to 2011, the Wolves were the Atlanta Thrashers Farm Club. In June 2011, the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg and St. Johns IceCaps , the former Vancouver Canucks farm, became their farm club in the AHL. On June 27, 2011, Wolves and Canucks entered into a 2-year cooperation agreement. [one]
On April 23, 2013, the Wolves and St. Louis Blues reached an accession agreement for 3 years. The deal was completed after the Canucks decided not to renew the agreement with the Wolves and acquired the Peoria Riverman franchise from Blues. [2]
