Sarpinka - lightweight cotton fabric ( canvas ) plain weave, with a striped or checkered pattern. It is made of thin (60-80), pre-dyed yarn . Outwardly similar to chintz .

Manufactured mainly by the Volga-German colonists .

Etymology of the word
