Biography

He played for the company CSKA . Silver medalist of the 1996 Olympic Games in the 50 km run [1] , multiple world and European champion . The holder of the world record in walking since 1995 at 5,000 meters (indoors): 18:07:08.

He trained under the guidance of Grigory Yakovlevich Klimov [2] .

In 1997, he received a medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", II degree [3] .

Family

Son George - a football player , defender of Moscow CSKA , played for the Russian team. She also has an older daughter, Anna.
