The order of the printing business is an order that existed in Russia from the middle of the XVI to the beginning of the XVIII century and managed the printing business [1] .
This order appeared under Ivan the Terrible, along with the appearance in 1553 - 1558 in Moscow of the printing yard, which he was in charge of [1] . The order was also called the Order of the Printing House. The "Order of the Printing Yard" was mentioned in notebooks from 1665 to 1686 .
When at the imperial court around 1680 a new printing house , called the top one, was instituted by Simeon Polotsky , then a new Order of the upper printing house was created to manage it, which did not exist for long.
In 1699, it was ordered in the Printed Order to take printed duties.
With the establishment of the Holy Synod in 1721, the Order of Book Printing was reorganized into the Office of the Moscow Synodal Printing House. There were two offices: in Moscow and St. Petersburg . Offices lasted until 1763 .
