Construction
Laid on the slipway of the Northern Shipyard on July 27, 2005, in 2012 the transfer of the ship of the Russian Navy was expected [1] .
March 11, 2010 Kolomensky Zavod sent the first diesel engine DDA12000 to the shipyard for the main power plant [2] .
April 15, 2011 the corvette was launched [3] .
September 25, 2012 the corvette went on sea trials without the A-190 artillery mount [4] .
During mooring in the military harbor of Kronstadt, “Boyky” collided with the research vessel “ Admiral Vladimirsky ”.
By 2013, AU A-190 was installed, helicopter landing tests on the deck were carried out, and state tests began.
Service
May 16, 2013 the ship replenished the composition of the Baltic Fleet of Russia [5] .
In 2014, it twice became a source of concern for foreign media: on September 2, 2014, an incident occurred with the Finnish research vessel Aranda [6] [7] ; On the afternoon of September 29, 2014, it was spotted at a distance of 14.4 nautical miles (~ 26.7 km) from the territorial waters of Latvia [8] .
In April 2015, as part of the Baltic Fleet’s ship group (Boyky, Stoyky , Soobrazitelny and Steregushchy corvettes ), together with naval aviation, it performed air defense and anti-submarine defense tasks at a training ground in the Baltic Sea. During the exercise, the ships carried out artillery fire on sea and air targets, found and destroyed a conditional enemy submarine, and worked out joint maneuvering [9] .
In April 2016, the ship’s crew took part in the qualifying stage of the Sea of Cup 2016 professional skill competition held in the Baltic Sea. Training artillery firing, anti-sabotage defense skills and survivability fighting were practiced [10] [11] .
Later, in April 2016, together with the Project 11540 patrol ship, Yaroslav the Wise , fired in the Baltic Sea. Ka-27 helicopters and Su-24 bombers acted as a conditional enemy. Luminous aerial bombs SAB-250 were used as targets. The crews of the ships carried out practical firing from the ship systems A-190 and A-100 , Kortik and AK-630 , during which the conditional enemy aircraft were destroyed. After completing missions to destroy air targets, the ships also carried out a complex of firing at towed ship shields, simulating a detachment of warships of a conditional enemy. All targets were hit. In addition, “Boyky” activated electronic warfare and put active and passive interference [12] .
During the exercises in July 2016, he successfully worked out the defense against a conventional enemy attack using the anti-submarine anti-submarine complex Package-NK [13] [14] .
In 2016, the TV show "Polygon" was shot on the corvette [15] .
On October 22, 2016, the Soobrazitelny corvette returned from a long hike, which lasted more than 15 days [16] . Upon returning, the corvette was docked at the Severnaya Verf shipyard in St. Petersburg [17] .
On April 7, 2017, in conjunction with the Soobrazitelny corvette, he went out to the exercises in the North Atlantic to test the search for submarines of a conditional enemy and detect surface targets. He returned from a campaign in Baltiysk on May 1, 2017, having covered more than 4 thousand nautical miles [18] . In 2017, recognized as the best ship of the Baltic Fleet [19] .
The corvette, as part of a detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, left the Baltiysk Military Harbor on October 14, 2017 and entered the Mediterranean Sea [20] . On October 29, 2017, the unit entered the Mediterranean Sea [21] . On January 14, 2018, the detachment returned to the main naval base of the Baltiysk fleet after a long campaign, having covered more than 35 thousand nautical miles. [22]
On June 18, 2018, a detachment of Baltic Fleet ships consisting of Boyky, Stoyky corvettes, Cola medium sea tanker and Konetsky sea tugboat left for the North Atlantic to carry out long-range planned missions [23] .
Since January 2019, together with the Soobrazitelny corvette , it has been accompanying the US Navy destroyers Gravelly and Porter , located in the Baltic Sea [24] .
