Poretsky is a village in Russia , in the Suzdal district of the Vladimir region , and is part of the Pavlovsky rural settlement [2] .

Content
Geography
The village is located on the high bank of the Nerl River , near the mouth of the Pokolyayka River, on the opposite bank there are flood meadows and a pine forest.
History
It is mentioned for the first time in the 15th century as the patrimony of the Moscow Metropolitan ; Until the middle of the XVII century the village was owned by the patriarchy . In 1764, in connection with the secularization of monastic lands, it was transferred to the College of Economy .
In 1869, there were 1,585 residents in 247 yards in Poretsky, while the villagers specialized in masons and roofers.
Until 2006, the village was the center of the Poretsky rural district , which included Poretsky itself, as well as the villages of Borisovskoye , Vasilkovo, Voskresenskaya Slobodka , Zapolitsy, Mordysh, Ulovo.

Enterprises and institutions
Poretsky's enterprises include a mill (previously a water mill, now an electric one, burned down 07/07/2019), a cheese factory, an agricultural production cooperative (SPK, collective farm) Poretsky. Roads in the village are asphalted.
Poretsky has a Poretsky secondary school (opened in 1984), a kindergarten, a savings bank, and a post office.
Attractions
In the village there is a monument to the inhabitants who died in the Great Patriotic War , there is a historical - ethnographic museum "History of the village of Poretsky."
The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord was consecrated in 1795.
Other information
In 1867, Russian and Soviet architect Ivan Kuznetsov was born in Poretsky.
In 1968, in Poretsky and the neighboring village of Mordysh, Vasily Shukshin made the film “ Strange People ” according to a script based on his own stories.
