Story
Girl Zhenya dreams of becoming a sailor. She walks in a vest, wears a sea-cap and spends all her free time with the boys on the old schooner “Signal”, which is on a joke in the port.
The guys laughed at her, but with her knowledge of the maritime industry, she earned the nickname "Captain Jack." When the time came to send the old ship for scrapping, the newly arrived sailors took him from the pier on a stormy night, considering such a fate unfair for a well-deserved veteran.
On this ship during the war, showing courage, the Soviet sailors, among whom was Zhenya's father, left the captivity of the enemy.
The port authorities decided to help schoolchildren organize a pioneer marine club, which, to common joy, was given a heroic schooner.
