From 1937 he worked at the Research Institute of Telemechanics and Television, in 1937-1944 - at the Research Institute of Communications and Telemechanics (NIMIST) of the Navy under the leadership of Academician A. I. Berg . In 1939 he defended his thesis. During World War II, he supervised the work on the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla on equipping ships with non-contact mine detection equipment developed on the basis of his inventions.
In 1944-1949 he was the chief designer and chief of OKB No. 278 of the Ministry of Aviation Industry. He created a number of samples of special radar equipment, awarded by government prizes.
Since 1949 he worked at the GOI im. S. I. Vavilova (head of the laboratory, since 1960 - head of the NTO, since 1970 - director of the Institute of Hydrooptics, a branch of the GOI). Scientific Achievements
For the first time in the USSR, he introduced non-contact photovoltaic tracking systems in aviation and navy.
He created the optoelectronic equipment of special ship communications, which was adopted.
As the chief designer of homing systems and optical fuses, he provided successful tests of the B-1000 anti - missile.
Co-author of the discovery of a new physical phenomenon - “Patterns of spatio-temporal variability of hydrophysical fields in the ocean”. The diploma was issued by the Committee on Inventions and Discoveries of the USSR on June 19, 1973 with a priority of 1963. Based on the field studies, methods were proposed for detecting submarines (submarines) in the submerged state along the wake trail by recording the variability of the density of the marine environment and the corresponding optical-television equipment was developed.
The author and co-author of 16 scientific papers, 30 copyright certificates for inventions and discoveries in the field of research of hydrophysical processes in the ocean.
