Sports career

Hans-Dieter Flick achieved the greatest success in his entire career as a member of the Munich Bavaria, becoming the German champion four times, and once celebrating receiving the WSE Cup in his career.

In 1990, Flick transferred to Cologne , where he played already less successfully due to frequent deletions until 1993.

After 1993 he transferred to Bammental. The frequent lack of playing practice and serious injury ultimately led to the early end of Flick’s sports career.

Throughout his career, Hans has never played for the national team.

Coaching career

Since 1996, he coached Bammental (without a coaching license). In 2000 he became a coach at Hoffenheim (also without a license).

Only in 2003 he graduated from the Cologne Sports Academy and received a license for coaching.

After that, Flick worked at Hoffenheim for another 2 years until November 20, 2005, and in 2006 he joined the coaching staff of the Red Bull Salzburg club together with Lothar Matteus and Giovanni Trapattoni .

Since August 2006, he accepts the offer of the DFB, and becomes assistant to the Bundestrener Joachim Löw .
