Karaman (silt)

Il Karaman borders on the silts of Antalya in the southwest, Mersin in the south, Konya in the north.

• 1256 - Karamanids , from 1306 - Sultanate of Karaman (Konya)

• 1923 - the foundation of the Republic of Turkey , Karaman became part of the province of Konya .

The population is 243,210 inhabitants (2009). The administrative center is the city of Karaman .
