Etymology

For a long time in the Russian language there was no term for a rope complex. At different times it was called a rope park, a rope park, an air amusement park, a bungee park or a rope course. In recent years, among the organizers of active leisure and team building, the name " Typark " has become widespread and entrenched. .

History

The exact date of occurrence of the first taipark is not known. Already the Ancient Greeks used a complex of air obstacles to train soldiers. These courses were used only in the army and were not aimed at general development, which differed from modern typarks.

In the early 1900s, the naval commander George Herbert ( Eng. George Hébert ) created his own method of harmonious development of personality. Herbert copied some of the obstacles from the rope structures seen on the decks of ships. The course was based on a combination of physical education exercises and exercises aimed at strengthening the strength of mind of future soldiers and sailors. Hébertism course elements are still used in Europe and Canada. There is evidence of the use of preparatory rope courses in the US landing forces, and of the existence in New England in the mid-1920s of an entire camp in which a rope park was installed.

In the 1980s, taiparks became widespread in Europe and America. In the early 1990s appeared in Russia. Modern taiparks have an insurance system. Low taiparks can be located above a soft surface (mats, sand). High and multi-level taiparks are equipped with safety climbing cables and are recommended for use using appropriate equipment.

Taiparks include obstacles of varying difficulty - from the simplest, accessible to humans with minimal physical training, to complex sports obstacles. This makes them accessible to people of almost any age and physical fitness.

Arrangement

The park can be located in open space and indoors. In order to build a typark, you will need an array of forest or park with an area of 1 hectare or more . To install sites on trees, straight vertical trees with a trunk diameter at a height of 7 meters of at least 35 cm are needed. The trees must be coniferous or hard hardwood.

To organize a taipark on artificial supports (poles installed on foundations), a site of at least 20 × 40 meters in size is necessary. It is very important that the typark is protected from unauthorized access. For ease of installation, you need the ability to drive vehicles.
