Name Origin
It was originally called Zolotaya Street in the village of Pokrovsky-Streshnev, which is associated with the goldsmiths ( scavengers ) that once lived on it. It was renamed on June 7, 1922 to eliminate the same name in the neighboring village of Shchukino, in the direction of which it led.
Description
Shchukinskaya Street starts from Infantry Street, runs west, crosses Academician Kurchatov Street , Vindavskaya Street goes to its right. It ends at the intersection of Novoshchukinskaya street and Marshal Vasilevsky street , where the exits of the Schukinskaya metro station are located.
