Geography
Il Chorum borders on Kırıkkale silt in the east, Yozgat in the west, Amasya in the south, Samsun in the southeast, Sinop in the north, Kastamonu in the northwest, Chankyry in the southwest.
Chorum is located on the Anatolian plateau at a considerable distance from the sea. The climate is sharply continental: the summer is hot and long, the winter is snowy and cold.
History
- 5000 - 3000 year BC. er : first settlements.
- 3000 - 1000 BC. er : bronze age. The appearance of the first cities.
- about 2000 BC. er : principality of the Hutts
- 1950 BC. er - 1850 BC. er : trade colonies of Assyrians. The first written mention.
- 1500 BC er - 1200 BC. er : The Hittite Kingdom and Its Capital Hattus
- After the peoples of the sea and the death of the Hittite kingdom belongs to the Phrygians, the Medes, the Persians and the Romans.
- After a period of diadoes, it became part of Cappadocia , then part of the Roman Empire and Byzantium .
- 1075 : the conquest of the region by the Turks and its inclusion in the Danishmend kingdom
