Bird Flight Code

“Bird Flight Code” is a code compiled by Leonardo da Vinci in 1505 and is currently in the Royal Library of Turin . It consists of 18 sheets and has a size of 21 × 15 centimeters. Contains descriptions of the flight of birds and the technology of flying vehicles created by Leonardo. Da Vinci tested these devices on a hill in the vicinity of Florence , but the launch was unsuccessful.

In this book, Leonardo first noted that the center of mass of a flying bird does not coincide with the center of pressure .

A facsimile edition of the code was undertaken in 1893 by F.V. Sabashnikov .
