Denon Porter ( Eng. Denaun Porter ; December 7, 1978 , Detroit , MI , USA ), better known under the pseudonym Mr. Porter and Kon Artis are an American rapper and producer [1] , a former member of D12 . Together with Kuniva, he is the owner and founder of Runyon Ave. Records [2] .

Biography

At an early age, Denon dreamed of becoming a basketball player, but at one of the brawls he was shot in the leg, after which he had to forget about basketball and decided to go rap. Together with his friend Kuniva , he creates the Da Brigade group, but then a proposal from another friend appears - Proof about the creation of D12 , and the Da Brigade group ceases to exist, having not managed to achieve any fame.

Mr. Porter is known not only as a rapper, but also as a successful producer working with many famous artists: 50 Cent , Snoop Dogg , The Game , Eminem , Dr. Dre , Busta Rhymes and many others. He also produced many successful singles and albums, here are some of them - “ PIMP ”, “ Stunt 101 ”, “Around The World”, “ Look At Me Now ”, “ They're Out To Get Me ” and many others [3 ] .

In 2011, Eminem and Mr. Porter became executive producers of Bad Meets Evil's debut mini-album - Hell: The Sequel [4] . Mr. Porter produced five songs for him [5] .

March 15, 2012 Mr. Porter announced that he is working on his debut studio album, The Memo, and plans to release it in 2013 [6] . In a week, Mr. Porter in his Twitter said that he was leaving the group D12. The reason was the desire to engage in a solo career and production, he also explained that he had no disagreements with other members of the group [7] .
