Fallopia , or Overlord [2] ( lat. Fallopia ) - a genus of plants of the Buckwheat family ( Polygonaceae ), is found in the temperate and subtropical climate of the northern hemisphere .

Botanical Description
Annual and perennial grassy and ligneous creepers with curly or open stems up to 3 m long.
The leaves are whole, ovate, 2 to 8 cm long.
The flowers are green, 2 to 5 in bunches in the axils of the leaves.
The fruit is a trihedral nut .
It blooms in May - July.
Distribution and Ecology
Moderately warm and subtropical regions of Eurasia and North America .
They grow in crops, on sandy slopes, vacant lots, along roads, in bushes, along river banks.
Application
Many species are weeds.
A number of species are good honey plants .

Taxonomy
The genus Fallopia is part of the subfamily Polygonoideae of the buckwheat family ( Polygonaceae ). Some botanists combine the genera Fallopia , Aconogonon ( Aconogonon ), Persikaria ( Persicaria ) and several others in the genus Highlander ( Polygonum ).
