Biography
Born on January 1, 1794 .
Polozov received his education in the 1st Cadet Corps , from where he was released in 1811 as a second lieutenant in the Life Guards Artillery Brigade.
He took part in the Patriotic War of 1812 and subsequent foreign campaigns of 1813-1814 . For the distinctions shown in the battles against Napoleon, Polozov was promoted to commission and awarded the orders of St. 4th degree Vladimir with bow and st. Anne of the 2nd degree, with a golden sword with the inscription "For Courage" (February 20, 1814) and the Prussian Order "Pour le Mérite" .
April 30, 1814, with the rank of captain, was appointed adjutant to Lieutenant General Dovre . To divide the Guards brigade into two, Polozov entered the 1st Artillery Brigade on February 3, 1816, was promoted to colonel on December 10 of the same year, and the 2nd Artillery Brigade joined the Life Guards on February 17, 1819, with the appointment of the commander thereof.
On March 20, 1826 he was appointed adjutant to His Imperial Majesty, promoted to major general on April 27, 1828, was appointed chief of artillery of the 2nd infantry corps on January 1, 1827, and chief of the 2nd artillery on November 24, 1829. divisions. May 30, 1829 Polozov was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the 1st degree.
On January 25, 1831, Polozov, due to his illness, was dismissed from service, but six months later (July 19, 1831) he was assigned to the Separate Gendarmes Corps on special assignments under the command of the gendarmes Count Count Benckendorf , and since 1833 he was the head of the 1st District gendarmes corps. December 25, 1833 for the immaculate length of service 25 years in officer ranks was awarded the Order of St. George 4th degree. As Benkendorf’s closest assistant, Polozov in 1834 protested the appointment of I. S. Zhirkevich to the post of Simbirsk governor .
In 1837, Polozov was promoted to lieutenant general .
He died on November 22, 1850 in St. Petersburg , was buried in the cemetery of the Trinity-Sergius desert.
