Akhasheni (Georgian. ახაშენი) - a variety of Georgian wine . It is made from Saperavi grape variety, which grows in the Gurjaan municipality of Georgia, in particular, near the village of Akhasheni, whose name gave the name to the drink. It has been produced since 1958 .
Color - dark garnet, varietal bouquet, with notes of exotic fruits. The taste is delicate and harmonious, full, with a pleasant astringency. Sugar content: 30-50 g / d³, alcohol: 10.5-12%.
The 2010 Law of Georgia “On Controlled Regions of Origin of Wines" of the name Akhasheni is included in the list of appellations of Georgia and cannot be used by wine producers outside a certain geographical region.
