Voros [1] ( Greek Βόρας ), Nidzhe ( Macad . Ny ) is a mountain on the border between Northern Macedonia and Greece . The highest peak is Kaimakchalan with a height of 2524 meters [1] . By the name of the peak Kaimakchalan is often called the mountain itself, this is especially common in Greece . By location and geological composition of the mountain is similar to the mountains Yakupitsa and Baba . It has the passage of the Paleozoic times, and in the highest part there is limestone of the Mesozoic times. Nija Mountain is known for its rich fauna . The mountain is abundant with animal species that are found both in the Mediterranean and in Northern Europe .

The mountain is also associated with Bulgarian history . During World War I, the Bulgarian army fought with the Entente on Kaimakchalan .
One of the peaks of the ridge with a height of 1187 meters is called Koziakas (Kozyak, Κόζιακας ).
