Abdullaev, Samed Hamid oglu

Samed Hamid oglu Abdullayev was born in 1920 ^[3] in the village of Golchaty (now in the Agdash region of Azerbaijan ).

Since 1937 , at the end of the Agdash Pedagogical College, he worked as a teacher in the village of Kusnet of the Vartashensky District of the Azerbaijan SSR (now the Oguz District of Azerbaijan ).

Participation in the Great Patriotic War

In 1938 he was called up by the Agdash RVC of the Azerbaijan SSR to the ranks of the Red Army , graduated from the school of sanitary instructors in Tbilisi .

Since June 1941, he took part in battles on the fronts of World War II . In one of the battles he was wounded and sent to a hospital; after treatment he returned to his unit.

By order No. 7 / n of 06/10/1943 to 1339 joint venture 318 sd 18 A of the North Caucasus Front, the medical officer of the 3rd rifle company of the 1st rifle battalion, the foreman of the medical service Abdulaev was awarded the medal "For Courage" for the fact that during the provision of assistance wounded destroyed by fire from personal weapons 19 Nazis ^[4] .

Sanitary engineer Samad Hamid oglu Abdullayev November 1, 1943 during the Kerch-Eltigen landing operation landed on the Kerch Peninsula in the vicinity of the village of Eltigen. Under heavy fire, the Nazis carried out the wounded from the battlefield, rendered them first aid. So, during one of Hitler’s attacks, the Germans came close to the positions of Samad Hamid oglu Abdullaev’s unit, a medical service foreman, knowing that a wounded commander remained on the battlefield, rushed forward, throwing grenades at the advancing Germans, sent them to flight and saved the commander. Defending the wounded, in a hand-to-hand fight, a courageous warrior killed 5 Nazis ^[5] .

On November 5, 1943, the foreman of the medical service, Samad Hamid oglu Abdullayev, died during the battle ^[6] . He was buried in the village of Eltigen (now - the village of Heroivske , located in the city of Kerch ).

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 17, 1943, for the exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown to the medical service foreman Samed Hamid oglu Abdullaev, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumous) ^[7] . The certificate was handed to the mother of Alikperova Khasi Yakub Kyzy ^[8] .
