Biography
Representative of the noble family of the Tevyashevs , nephew of P.I. Tevyashev . He graduated from the school of guards sub-ensigns and cavalry cadets .
He served in the 36th dragoon Akhtyrsky regiment : from 30.08.1861 - lieutenant, from 17.04.1863 - head captain, from 30.08.1868 - captain, from 16.04.1872 - colonel; from 07.02.1876 he commanded a regiment as part of the Ruschuk detachment in the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-78. - A participant in the battles at the villages of Pisantsy, Trestenik.
03/28/1879 was appointed commander of the Life Guards of the Horse-Grenadier Regiment , 06/07/1881 - the aide-adjutant (from 30/30/1882 Major General with approval), and simultaneously from 11/28/1884 he led the 1st Brigade of the 2nd Cavalry Division .
From 09.03.1889 - official of special assignments of the IV class under the Minister of War (until 01.05.1890).
The Astrakhan governor and the chief ataman of the Astrakhan Cossack army (05/01/1890 - 10/17/18/1895). From 08.30.1892 - lieutenant general.
Head of the Main Quartermaster Office and the Chief Quartermaster of the Ministry of War (10.17.1895-14.03.1903).
From March 14, 1903 to June 220, 1904, he was a member of the Military Council .
From June 22, 1904 to November 24, 1905, the Turkestan Governor-General , commander of the troops of the Turkestan Military District and the military ataman of the Semirechen Cossack Army.
He was awarded the orders of Vladimir of the 4th and 3rd degree with swords and a golden saber with the inscription "For courage", the order of the White Eagle .
