History
It was built in 1960 . At the building, the main entrance is buried under a canopy between the lateral risalits. The canopy is supported by four round posts and a beam along it with transverse consoles tapering to the cornice. Showcases are placed on the risalits with blind ends. Rectangular windows on the walls with embroidered seams of tile cladding have different sizes. The zone of exits from the auditorium is made in the form of galleries with seven square columns connected to the wall in the upper third of the height by narrow beams, the two-part end of which cantilever extends on the front faces of the columns [2] .
The building is typical (architect E. Dyatlov, I. Popova), the auditorium originally housed 780 seats. Here, meetings were held with prominent figures of cinema and theater. Together with the Propaganda Bureau of Soviet Cinema, the Young Cinema Friend club was organized, as well as patriotic, legal, and atheist education clubs. After a year, the directorate goes into debt and takes out a loan at Kazkommertsbank for a certain percentage of shares. The first loan does not repay and under the remaining block of shares Kazakhkinofest again takes a loan from the same bank. After a certain time, both cinemas for debts pass to Kazkommertsbank [4] .
