Story
The main character of the film is a boy Michael, who moved with his parents to another house, which is in a dilapidated condition. Moving is a necessary measure, because Michael’s mother is pregnant , and their former home was too small for two children.
Very soon, the boy realizes that someone is living in an old barn. Skellig, this exhausted man, has wings like a bird or an angel and eats insects, slugs and mice.
Meanwhile, the mother of Michael has a premature birth , it is likely that the baby will die. Michael and his friend Mina realize that Skellig is actually an angel , beging him to help and save the premature girl . But he replies that he cannot. Michael and Mina think that he can do anything, but simply lost faith in himself. For the sake of saving his sister, the boy decides to take a desperate step: he jumps from the roof, hoping that Skelig will save him. So it goes. After saving Michael, Skelig regains lost faith and heals the girl. But then he leaves Michael and Mina despite the fact that they have long become real friends for him. Before he flies away, the children directly ask if he is an angel. Skelig does not deny this.
