Story
1620 year . Turaida , a castle near Siegwald . Throughout the country, hunger, plague and looting of crowds of mercenaries raged. The granddaughter of old Kachi - the beautiful Maya, nicknamed Turaida Rose, serves in the castle. Her mistress is the daughter of the owner Helena-Charlotte.
The mercenary commander Yakubovsky, who is in the castle, solicits Maya's love, but the girl has a groom - a simple rural guy Caspers. Not wanting shame, the Turaida Rose chose death to dishonor.
Additional Facts
It was originally intended to make a film based on Rainis ' play “Love is stronger than death,” but in the process, the script deviated significantly from the original. It was decided to put an independent tape on the legend of the Turaida Rose. [1] [2]
