Ellerman, Arnoldo

Arnoldo Ellerman ( Spanish: Arnoldo Ellerman ; January 12, 1893 , Buenos Aires - November 21, 1969 , ibid.) - Argentine chess composer , international master ( 1959 ), international arbiter ( 1956 ) in chess composition . Author of a number of books on chess and chess composition.

Since 1910, it amounted to about 5 thousand tasks , mainly two-way . At the competitions he was awarded over 600 distinctions, including 120 first and about 100 second prizes. Along with K. Mansfield , A. Marie , M. Barulin, contributed to the revival of the strategic two- step approach in the 1920s and 1930s . The most valuable contribution was made to the development of the topic of direct unleashing ; hence the name "Ellerman unleashing." He actively collaborated with the well-known American society of problemists " Good Companion ."
