Timo Sild became the world champion in the relay race in junior orienteering in 2006. The Estonian junior team ( Mihkel Järveoya , Timo Sild and Markus Puusepp ), ahead of the teams of Sweden and Norway, first climbed the top step of the podium. [2]
Timo Sild won the silver medal in the long distance at the 2008 Junior World Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, losing to the winner, Swede Johan Runeson , 12 seconds. [3]
He became the winner of O-Ringen in 2008 in the class H-20 E (the strongest juniors are not older than 20 years). [4] [5]
He studies history and archeology at the University of Tartu . [five]
Timo Sild is the eldest son of the 1991 World Championship medalist Sisten Silda , whose individual bronze medal became the first USSR men's medal in orienteering world championships .
