Irena Borisovna Morozova (born September 18, 1938 , Moscow , RSFSR , USSR ) is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, singer. People's Artist of Russia (1995). Leading artist of the Gypsy Theater " Romen ", on the stage of which she has been working for more than 50 years.

Biography

Irena Morozova was born in Moscow on September 18, 1938 . In childhood I went in for sports, had the third category in gymnastics, always moved a lot, danced [1] .

After graduation, she initially entered the French branch of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. But the love of gypsy art won. Graduated from GITIS (1972).

After a successful audition at the Romen Theater, she was immediately accepted into his troupe.

She made her film debut in 1968 in the film "The Living Corpse." In the theater, cinema, on television, she played about 80 roles. In films, she created vivid and memorable images. The role of Ruby in the television series “Carmelita” and “Carmelita-2” brought Irena Morozova the widest fame and even greater love of the audience in Russia and other countries.

Irena Morozov pays great attention to concert activities, in her repertoire folk gypsy songs, ancient gypsy and Russian romances, romances from the repertoire of Isabella Yurieva , with whom Irena Borisovna was connected with warm friendly relations, romances of modern authors. Isabella Yurieva admired Morozova's singing and did not miss a single performance and concert with her participation, they also sang a duet [2] . Yurieva publicly blessed Irena Morozova and performed with her in a duet at a concert in the House of Actor named after A. A. Yablochkina [2] .

He writes music and poems to his romances and songs. The performance of Irena Morozova is inherent in nobleness and sophistication, exceptional musicality and plasticity, excellent acting and refinement of style, vivid temperament, generosity with which she gives listeners her talent. All this attracts many fans of gypsy art and ancient romances to her concerts.

For many years, Irena Morozov is a member of the Presidium of the Board of the Central House of Art Workers, a member of the jury of the Romance Games contest conducted by the Central House of Arts. Active member of the club of the old Russian romance "Chrysanthemum" named after A. Titov at the Central House of the actor named after A. Yablochkina. She performs solo concerts and performances at the Romen Theater in many foreign countries and cities in Russia, has recorded several CDs of old romances and gypsy folk songs.

In 2011, Irena Morozova prepared a recital, which included gypsy songs and old romances, and dedicated it to the 80th anniversary of the Romen Theater. With this concert I. Morozova performed with great success on the stages of the Central House of Arts (2011) and the Central House of Scientists (January 20, 2012).

October 25, 2012 Irena Borisovna Morozova celebrated the 50th anniversary of her creative activity on the stage of the Cultural Center of the Russian Army.
